Energetic Star Ram Pothineni, made a smashing debut in Tollywood with YVS Chowdary’s Devadasu and launched into the top class with the spectacular success of the film, Ready in 2008, starring Genelia D’Souza as the lead actress.  The Sreenu Vaitla directorial Ready became a huge hit back then because of the mixture of comedy and family sentiments, which has connected well with the family audience.  Devi Sri Prasad’s foot tapping tunes and the eye popping chemistry between Ram and Genelia, made the film to be the perfect entertainment even today. 

As Ready completes 12 years of the release today, on June 19th, Ram Pothineni went all nostalgic and wrote a special message on twitter, “My first film for @SravanthiMovies Met my Bestie @geneliad Learnt so much from @SreenuVaitla garu @ThisIsDSP ’s magic A Brilliant team @konavenkat99 @Gopimohan to #Bhrami garu to #ChittiNaidu & My last film as a Teenager.. #12YearsForBBReady will always be spl.  Love.. #RAPO(sic.)”  The actor also terminated Ready as his last film as a teenager, Ram was 22 years old when this film was released.  Besides mentioning the cast and crew, Ram also stated that he met his best friend Genelia through the film. 

Director Sreenu Vaitla also remembered his film Ready as it completes 12 years today and wrote on Twitter, “Been 12 years for #Ready which still feels like yesterday .  I will always cherish the wonderful times during the filming and I owe it to my energetic star @ramsayz, ever cute @geneliad, the team of @Gopimohan & @konavenkat99 for always believing in me(sic.)”

On the work front, Ram Pothineni will next be seen in Kishore Tirumala’s RED, which co stars Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma, Amritha Aiyer, Sampath Raj and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles.  It is believed the film is an official remake of the Tamil action thriller Thadam. RED was supposed to release on April 9, 2020, but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
