Keerthy Suresh is essaying a very different character than the ones the audience are used to in the mystery thriller Penguin. This movie is directed by Eshvar Karthic, who is making his debut as a director. Keerthy Suresh will be seen as a pregnant mother who is out to solve the mystery of her missing son in the jungles of Ooty, along with her trusted dog. The trailer for Penguin, which was released recently gave us a glimpse into the movie which promises to be a dark and thrilling ride.
Talking about her role in Penguin, Keerthy Suresh says “Penguin has definitely been one of the most exciting and interesting projects I’ve worked on (sic.)” The Mahanati actress also elaborates more on her role saying “As a mother, Rhythm (character she plays) is both gentle and caring, but also fiercely determined. She’s complex, but authentic, and I think that will really strike a chord with audiences. I had a wonderful time working with the incredibly talented Eashwar Karthic to bring the story to life. It will be great to see a film in Tamil, Telugu that will be appreciated by audiences around the world (sic.)”

Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, of Stone Bench Films which produced Penguin says “We are so happy to be a part of Prime Video’s ever growing global community (sic.)” Penguin will be released on Amazon Prime Video, and will be the first major mainstream multilingual movie to have a direct online release. Kaarthekeyan also says “While we’re not new to working with digital platforms, it’s fantastic to have collaborated on such an important project with a global partner like Prime Video (sic.)”
Penguin will be released on Amazon Prime Video for streaming worldwide on June 19th, 2020.
