It was reported in the news that a delegation representing the Telugu Film Industry met the cinematography minister for Telangana, Sri Talasani Srinivas Yadav to discuss the current scenario and find solutions to reopen the industry. The delegation of celebrities met at Megastar Chiranjeevi’s residence along with Talasani Srinivas Yadav to put forward their demands on behalf of the industry. Talasani Srinivas Yadav promised to take their concerns to the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who agreed to these demands and said that work can resume from June 1st if filmmakers strictly adhere to social distancing and safety norms.
Nandamuri Balakrishna however was not invited to the meeting and when asked to comment about the meeting, Balakrishna said that he was not aware a meeting was to take place and he had to learn about it after watching the news. Moreover, he said that the meeting took place to exchange lands. These comments did not however sit well with Naga Babu and he decided to make a video to counter Balakrishna’s statements.
In the video, Naga Babu says that Balakrishna is right to ask why he was not invited to the meeting and he should rightly ask the person concerned with arranging the meeting. However, Naga Babu says that it was wrong to imply that lands are being exchanged at the meeting and that Balakrishna should issue an immediate apology to the Telangana Government and the Telugu Film Industry. Naga Babu ends the video by saying that Balakrishna is just one actor in the industry and that he is not the king of Telugu Film Industry. Naga Babu also took a jibe at Telugu Desam Party, a political party in which Balakrishna is a member. Watch the full video here!
