Naga Chaitanya Takes Up Stop The Walk Initiative To Help Migrant Workers

Apart from the fear of death because of the outbreak of coronavirus, the lockdown issues to control the deadly virus has rendered the jobs of daily wage workers which led to most migrant workers walking miles to reach their home without food, income and other basic necessities. It’s very unfortunate to see that these labourers prefer dying in their homeland instead of suffering here with hunger and the virus.

While many fortunate people from the industry have come out to provide help with the migrant labourers. Superstar couple Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have been doing their bit to provide for those who are suffering in these difficult times. Naga Chaitanya took to Twitter and urged fans to donate to charities dedicated to COVID relief. Sharing the details of a few charities, Chay wrote on Twitter, “Painful to see the reality of migrant workers .. let’s try and better the situation for them as much as possible .. any effort will go a long way .. let’s #stopthewalk time to get them home ! ..” (sic). Fans appreciated Chay’s gesture while some even donated immediately and posted receipts of their donation.

Meanwhile, Samantha also donated a monetary fund to 10 NGOs to celebrate the milestone on her Instagram. Actors like Sonu Sood and Manchu Manoj arranged special transport facilities to port the migrant labourers to their home safe.
