Manchu Manoj is known as the one of the most helping and purest souls in Telugu film fraternity. The actor is helping out the migrant workers, who have suffered the most due to the lockdown. This pandemic has brought their lives to the streets as many rendered jobless and couldn’t afford food, shelter and other basic commodities. While, many labourers have been walking miles on foot to reach their homes which has been resulting in deaths by road accidents, exhaustion and even hunger.
To help out such daily wage labourers from suffering, Manchu Manoj started an initiative to provide them with basic commodities and transport to reach them safely to their home towns. Announcing this on social media, he wrote, “Finally, got permissions from central government for arranging buses to the migrant workers who are struggling a lot to reach their homes I am Happy to announce that 2 buses will be starting today from Hyderabad at 6 pm and planning to expand the service in the coming days I request everyone to do ur bit. Together we can send them all home safely.” The buses are to ply from Hyderabad to Srikakulam. He has also made sure that everyone travelling has been provided with masks, sanitisers and food.
