The film industry is going to witness a shuffle in its film releases due to the ongoing lockdown 4.0. Many awaited films which were scheduled to release this year are likely to be postponed. The talk of town film, Acharya is also reportedly to be postponed to next year.
According to a report by Cinema Express, Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Acharya, which was supposed to release on August 14, 2020, has been pushed for Sankranthi. “With the suspension of film shootings and other production activities, we are in for a reshuffle of film releases. One of the highly-anticipated films of the industry, Acharya, in all probability, will release during Sankranthi. They are planning to issue an official statement on the same once they resume the shooting after the lockdown,” the report quoted a source as saying.
“About 30% of the shoot has been completed before the lockdown and the makers are planning to complete the film by the year end to ensure a festival release,” the source was quoted as saying by Cinema Express.

The film Acharya is helmed by ace south director Koratala Siva. His son Ram Charan will be doing a cameo role in this film. The film is bankrolled by Ram Charan under his production banner Konidela Production.
