Trisha Is Back As Jessie In A Short Film By Gautham Menon About Current Situation Of Filmmakers

On Trisha’s birthday May 4, the actress announced on Twitter that an exciting project is coming up with director Gautham Vasudev Menon. Trisha and Gautham Vasudev Menon Trisha have rejoined now after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, which was also remade in Telugu as Ye Maya Chesave. This reboot short film shows the return of Trisha’s character Jessie from the original film. Gautham Menon has unveiled the short film which shows Trisha resuscitating her generally adored on-screen character, Jessie.

The director Gautham shared a short clip with the message, “#karthikdialseythayenn There’s hope and a short film coming soon.!”. The teaser is titled as Karthik Dial Seytha.

The teaser shows the phone conversation between Trisha and Karthik giving him the word of encouragement as he is playing the role of the filmmaker in this film. This short clip demonstrates the present situation of filmmakers due to the lockdown. “Everything will be alright. Theatres will open. There are Netflix and Amazon now. They’ll all come looking for you. They all want good content right? Everything will be fine. You wait and see…” she says, with the camera focussed just on her face.

In the film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Simbu played the role of Karthik, now the fans are hoping to see him in the second teaser of this short film. The teaser ends with the words “There is hope” as the VTV background score begins playing. With the end credits, a short film… for now from Gautham Vasudev Menon.
