Thalapathy Vijay Fans Troll Master Actress Malavika Mohanan For Calling Out Sexism In A Fan-Made Sketch

Thalapathy Vijay Fans Troll Master Actress Malavika Mohanan For Calling Out Sexism In A Fan - Made Sketch

Malavika Mohanan got offended after a fan page of actor Thalapathy Vijay recently tweeted a sketch showing all the male artistes of the upcoming film Master being busy in other chores while she was put busy in the kitchen. This tweet seemed to have offended her and the actress called out Vijay fans for sexism post.

The actress pointed out sexism in the sketch and retweeted that, “The task of a woman even in a hypothetical “movie house” is to cook? When will gender roles die? Sigh.”

Malavika pointing sexism tweet didn’t quite go well with Vijay’s fans as they started trolling her which eventually made her delete the post later. After deleting the post, the backlash for malavika didn’t stop. One fan questioned Malavika for deleting the tweet and said, “Why can’t you stand your ground?”

However, a very few did defend Malavika Mohanan saying it does show sexism in that sketch. Singer Chinmaya Prasad expressed solidarity to Malavika about the sketch and wrote, “A professional actor questions a fan-made illustration for portraying HER ‘role’ in a way SHE didn’t like. She gets bullied, abused and harassed into deleting her tweet. Said sexist ‘cartoon’ gets close to 1000 Retweets.”

Malavika Mohanan will be seen opposite Thalapathy Vijay in upcoming film Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film was supposed to hit the screens on April 9 but postponed due to COVID 19 lockdown. Latest buzz claims that the film might release on Vijay’s birthday, June 22.
