Puri Jagannadh recently completed 20 years in the film industry with his blockbuster film Badri which was released in 2000. The director is currently busy with Vijay Deverakonda’s Fighter. Reports state that Puri has roped in Ramya Krishna to play the mother role in this film, which is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
With Fighter in progress, there are reports surfacing that Puri Jagannadh may direct Nandamuri Balakrishna next. The pair had collaborated for Paisa Vasool in 2017 and share a decent affinity from that point forward. The film had Shriya Saran playing Balayya’s lead pair with Vikramjeet Virk and Musskan Sethi essayed crucial roles.

While the buzz about Puri Jagannadh and Balayya collaborating is doing bouts, the Simha actor is currently occupied with the Boyapati Srinivas directorial film tentatively titled as NBK 106. It might be noted here that Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinivas are collaborating for the third time after Simha and Legend ended up being the biggest hits in the industry.
Fighter is being made in Telugu and Hindi with producer Karan Johar creating the Hindi adaptation while Puri Jagannadh is delivering the Telugu rendition. Bollywood diva Ananya payday will be playing the main female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The shooting of this film started in January this year and will continue shooting for latter parts after lockdown is lifted.
