Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the lockdown which was originally supposed to be lifted on April 14th, would be extended till May 3rd. This decision was taken to stop the spread of the highly infectious COVID-19 virus which brought the world to its knees. The lockdown would mean no one can venture outside their homes which means everyone is effectively quarantined in their houses. This has made people look out for other ways to keep themselves occupied like exercising, cooking, baking, painting and many other things.
The Tollywood fraternity is also a part of the lockdown and with no movie release or production schedules happening, the actors and artists have plenty of free time on their hands. Tollywood veteran and legendary actor Brahmanandam is making the most of this lockdown by revisiting his old skills. Raja Goutham, who is Brahmanandam’s son posted a picture on his Instagram handle of Brahmanandam drawing a portrait of his favourite poet. The picture shows Brahmanadam dressed in white looking at his handiwork. The drawing of noted poet Sri Sri garu, someone who Brahmanandam respects a lot. Sri Sri was noted for his works in Telugu cinema and won a National Award for Best Lyrics for his song Telugu Veera Levara from Alluri Seetharama Raju.

Raja Goutham was last seen in a crowdfunded movie titled Manu, which is a one of its kind movie. Chandini Chowdary appeared alongside Raja Goutham as the female lead. Brahmanandam was last seen in Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo in a cameo in the song Ramulo Ramula.
