As Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (RRR,) Rajamouli’s next magnum opus progresses ahead with its schedule, the filmmakers have been giving timely updates about the movie progress as well as releasing promotional material. With a movie of this magnitude, which boasts a star cast comprising actors from all across the globe, it is understandable that there would be a lot of buzz and speculation around the film.
It looks like Malayalam superstar Mohanlal may be roped in for a special cameo if the buzz around Tollywood is to be believed. However, there is no official confirmation from the producers or filmmakers about this, it would be interesting to see if Mohanlal may make an appearance in the film. Mohanlal himself is working on a period drama based on the legend of Marakkar, a feared and well respected naval captain who worked for the Zamorin of Calicut. Marakkar: Arabia Samudra Simham boasts of an ensemble cast from multiple movie industries and is the costliest Malayali film to be ever made.

The makers of RRR released a splendid video titled Bheem For Ramraju as a surprise gift for Ram Charan on the occasion of his birthday. The video revealed the character look of Ram Charan as Alluri Sitarama Raju and quickly went viral much to the happiness of fans. Another video was supposed to be released on the occasion of Ajay Devgn’s birthday, but due to unforeseen circumstances because of the lockdown the video could not be released.
RRR is being directed by S.S. Rajamouli is a fictional retelling of the lives of Indian freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. Ram Charan and Jr NTR will appear in the lead roles. RRR will also star Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn,Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Rahul Ramakrishna in supporting roles. DVV Entertainment is producing RRR while M.M Keeravani is composing music for the film.
