Late actress Manorama is a legendary personality who has acted in more than 1500 films during her career which spanned more than 50 years. Manorama did films in all major South Indian movie industries and even entered the Guinness book of World Records for doing as many films as she did in 1985 itself. The late actress passed away in 2015 due to age related ailments leaving behind only a son named Bhupathi.
Bhupathi found himself in the news when reports came out that he was admitted to a hospital reportedly because of overdosing on sleeping pills. Due to the lockdown that was imposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, most establishments are shut down for the lockdown duration and this includes liquor stores as well. According to reports Bhupathi is currently undergoing alcohol withdrawal because of the unavailability of liquor stores and this led him to reportedly consume a high dose of sleeping pills.

Bhupathi is a singer as well as an actor who lives in T Nagar with his family and was admitted to Apollo hospitals at Thousand Lights, Chennai. Bhupathi’s current condition is said to be stable as of now and this news has shocked the Tamil movie industry. Bhupathi was found unresponsive on his bed on April 7th and was taken to the hospital immediately. Bhupathi has a wife named Dhanalakshmi and daughter Meenakshi.
Bhupathi has earlier tried to make a career in acting and has acted in a few films which includes Kalthoon with Sivaji Ganesan, however his career did not take off.
