During the nationwide coronavirus lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed for a blackout call agt 9 PM on April 5th, Sunday. The PM asked the citizens across the country to light up diyas, candles, flash their mobile or torch lights for 9 minutes at 9 pm on Sunday, April 5 to show solidarity in this alarming corona crisis. This 9pm9minute program by the Prime Minister was hugely appreciated by the citizens of India. Our Tollywood beauties from Tamannaah to Rakul Preet to Pragya Jaiswal also left no moment to show their solidarity and wished the “darkness” spread by Coronavirus (COVID-19) is dispelled soon.

Sye Raa actress Tamannaah Bhatia also did her part in this with her family at her house. She shared a picture and a quote by Rumi, “Lighting the feeling of hope, positivity and strength with my family. We are all in this together.”(sic)
Rakul Preet on the other side shared a video on her Instagram story to express her gratitude towards this call from the PM. In the video, she was seen saying that it’s a lovely moment to see everyone holding diyas and lights as it shows we are in this together and our unity to fight off this virus. She also took this moment to salute all the frontliners who are working out there for us 24/7 to keep us safe.
