Micro Blogging platform Twitter is not new to clashes between different factions and ideologies. It is one of the most used platforms by fans of celebrities where often the virtual fights between fans of two different actors become so big that they begin trending. The latest argument now is between fans of Mahesh Babu and Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay.
The whole argument began when Thalapathy Vijay’s Ghilli was telecast on a popular channel, leading fans of Vijay to share their love for the movie on Twitter. This however did not seem to sit well with fans of Mahesh Babu as Ghilli is a remake of the Mahesh Babu blockbuster Okkadu. Mahesh Babu’s fans were quick to point out that Ghilli was a remake and what ensued was a full blown argument.

Okkadu had Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika in the lead roles while Prakash Raj played the role of the antagonist. Ghilli on the other hand had Vijay and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles and Prakash Raj playing the antagonist once again. Ghunasekar directed Okkadu while Dharani directed Ghilli. Both the movies went on to become blockbusters.
Vijay is all set to star in Master which will have Vijay Sethupathi playing the role of the antagonist. Master was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and the release date for the movie has been postponed due to theaters shutting down on government orders in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mahesh Babu was last seen in the Sankranthi blockbuster movie Sarileru Neekevvaru directed by Anil ravipudi which had Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
