Mahesh Babu Is All Nostalgic As He Remembers His Father’s Debut Film Tene Manasulu

Legendary Tollywood actor Shri Krishna Ghattamaneni made his silver screen debut 55 years ago through film ‘Tene Manasulu’ directed by Adurthi Subba Rao. This film was a major hit back then, it also made a breakthrough point for Krishna in Telugu cinema. In a glorious career for over five decades, the 75-year-old actor starred in more than 350 films in a variety of roles. He even produced and directed films like Mosagallaku Mosagadu introducing cowboy genre Alluri Seetha Rama Raju the first cinemascope film and more.

Today, March 31st celebrates the 55th anniversary of his film Tene Manaslu and on this occasion, Mahesh Babu son of Actor Krishna went nostalgic and recalled this special day. Mahesh took to his Instagram and recalled about the film and wrote, ” My all time favourite #timelessclassic #TeneManasulu #Repost • @mbofficialteam Our Evergreen SuperStar Krishna garu’s journey begun on this day 55 years back with TENE MANASULU. What a Blockbuster beginning. Let’s take a moment to go back to the legendary journey of our SUPERSTAR. ”

 

Tene Manasulu was definitely a forever classic film. It also featured Rammohan, Saukanya and Sandhya rani to the Telugu industry.  It is sure must be the favourite film in our parents and grandparents list. This film ran over 100 days in theatres and was remade in Hindi as Doli which was also successful.

Actor Krishna received several honourable awards like Padma Bhushan and Filmfare Award. Krishna also played a major role in politics when he got elected as a Member of Parliament in 1989.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu donated Monterey fund of 1 cr to the Telugu states and 25 lakhs to Tollywood Corona Crisis Charity to help out the daily wage workers. The actor recently bagged a successful hit Sarileru Neekevvaru and is working for his upcoming film tentatively called SSMB27 and are scheduling to release on the 14th year anniversary of his hit film Pokiri.
