The Telugu film industry is slowly uniting once again for a cause. Pawan Kalyan kickstarted the monetary donations when he announced a donation of one crore rupees to the Prime Minister’s relief fund and fifty lakhs each to the Chief Minister’s relief funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Having been inspired by Pawan Kalyan’s gesture,Ram Charan announced a monetary aid of 70 lakh rupees to both the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana combined.
Slowly more and more celebrities started joining the movement to raise funds for the people. The list of celebrities includes Chiranjeevi, Ram Pothineni, Anil Ravipudi, Trivikram Srinivas, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun. The latest Tollywood celebrities to join this movement are none other than the Daggubati family. Suresh, Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati have come together to donate one crore rupees to the daily wage workers in Tollywood and healthcare providers who are fighting against the Coronavirus.
It is truly inspiring to see Tollywood celebrities coming together to help the nation and communities in this time of crisis. The entire nation is currently in a lockdown under the orders of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 3 weeks in order to control the spread of the virus. Before the nation went into lockdown, malls and theaters were closed forcing many movies to postpone their releases. Rana Daggubati starrer Aranya postponed its release date due to the lockdown. The movie was originally scheduled to release on April 2nd, 2020. Aranya is directed by Prabhu Solomon and is a movie about how Bandev, a jungle inhabitant goes up against a corporate entity trying to take jungle land inhabited by a herd of elephants.
