RRR is Rajamouli’s next big magnus opus after the superhit Baahubali franchise. Rajamouli became a household name all across India after his magnificent work on Baahubali. When Rajamouli announced RRR, fans were speculating about what the abbreviation stands for.
As the whole nation went into an unprecedented lockdown upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s orders, Rajamouli decided to release the motion poster for RRR which is an abbreviation for Roudram Ranam Rudhiram which stands for Rise Roar Revolt. Rajamouli shared his thoughts on Twitter before the release of the motion poster saying that the team behind RRR would like to lift people’s spirits in these times when everyone is locked in their houses.
It’s a time of global crisis. We wanted to do our bit in lifting up everyone’s spirits. We are launching the long overdue Title Logo with Motion Poster of @RRRMovie, Tomorrow. Though I can’t promise any specific time now, as everyone of our team are working from home.

The motion poster was also released on the occasion of the auspicious Telugu New Year, Ugadi. The motion poster was thrilling to watch as it offered first glimpses of Ram Charan and Jr NTR as Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively. Ram Charan was depicted as fire and Jr NTR was depicted as water. The motion poster was visually thrilling and Keeravani once again proved why he is the one of the best music composers in the industry. The background score complemented the visuals and was perfect to increase the hype for RRR. The motion poster already hit 4.5 million views since its release yesterday.
