Thalapathy Vijay has been in the news recently for multiple reasons ranging from income tax department raids on his properties to his much awaited film Master being postponed due to the Coronavirus scare that is spreading all over India. Master was supposed to release on April 9th but has been postponed for now till the government declares it is safe to resume normality.
Vijay who is referred to as Thalapathy fondly by his fans is however in the news for a different reason. There have been rumours going around for a while that Vijay will be teaming up with acclaimed director Murugadoss once again for a movie that is likely to go on floor in August. Recent news reports suggest that Murugadoss met with Vijay to narrate two scripts and Vijay showed interest in a script which was reportedly for a sequel of the 201 superhit movie Thuppakki.
Thuppakki was about an Indian army officer on a mission to track a sleeper terrorist cell. Kajal Aggarwal who played the female lead in Thuppakki is once again being considered for the sequel. We will however have to wait for an official announcement from Murugadoss about the same.
Thalapathy Vijay’s house was recently raided by IT officials when Master reportedly did a pre-release business of 200 crore rupees which prompted the IT officials to conduct an inquiry. However no cases were filed as Vijay was able to submit all his documents for verification. Thalapathy Vijay will next be seen in Master, being directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj. Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist while Malavika Mohanan will play the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for Master while Xavier Britto is producing the movie.
