Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on his next project with Siva Koratala titled Acharya. The movie title went viral when Chiranjeevi accidentally revealed the name during a pre release event for O Pitta Katha. Since then fans have been referring to Chiranjeevi’s 152nd film as Acharya.
However recent rumours circulating in the industry point in a different direction. The rumors speculate that Acharya’s title might be changed and a new name will be given instead. However the filmmakers have not provided any official clarifications on this speculation.

Earlier there were rumors about Ram Charan deciding to make an extended cameo appearance as a Naxalite in Acharya but instead of Ram Charan it will be Mahesh Babu who makes the cameo appearance. There were also rumours about a first look which would be revealed on March 9th, 2020 which were however proved to be false.
Trisha Krishnan will return to Tollywood after a long hiatus with this film. Ram Charan, who produced Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is also producing this movie jointly with Anvesh Reddy under the Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment banners. Noted music composer Mani Sharma will compose the music for this Chiranjeevi starrer. It is also believed that Acharya is a political action thriller in which Chiranjeevi will be seen starting a movement against the endowments department regarding misappropriation of temple funds.
