The older Rajinikanth gets, the bigger his stardom becomes and his last few films are testimony to the fact. Rajinikanth’s movies always have a larger than life feeling mostly due to his enormous popularity and charismatic screen presence. His fame grew so much that even Bollywood stars are willing to share a screen with him even if it is in a negative role.
Rajinikanth’s last three films had established Bollywood actors play a negative role in the movies. 2.0 saw Akshay Kumar play the villain, Petta saw Nawazzuddin Siddiqui as the villain and the latest movie Darbar saw Suneil Shetty as the villain.

According to the latest buzz, it looks like one more popular actor may take up the role of an antagonist. It is none other than Tollywood’s Gopichand who is known for his offbeat and action movies like Okkadunnadu and Golimaar. Gopichand may don the role of the antagonist for Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie Annaatthe. Gopichand is currently working on a movie titled Seetimaarr, a Telugu movie which will also have Tamannaah Bhatia as the lead actress.
Annaatthe will have Rajinikanth as the male lead while stars like Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena and Khushbhu will appear in important roles. D Imman, who had previously worked with Siruthai Siva in Ajith’s Viswasam has been roped in to compose music for the project. Annaatthe is being directed by Siruthai Siva while Sun Pictures is producing the movie.
