Varun Tej is working on a new film which depicts him as a boxer and is helmed by debut director Kiran Korrapati. Varun Tej is undergoing rigorous training to do justice to the role. Varun Tej was earlier seen as a scary and notorious gangster in Gaddalakonda Ganesh, a remake of the Tamil film Jigarthanda.
As the shooting schedule is progressing slowly, it is a known fact that Varun Tej spent extensive time learning the nuances, form and technique of boxing to get ready for his role in VT10. If reports are to be believed, Varun Tej reportedly spent four months training and preparing for his role as a boxer.

According to the buzz going around in the industry, it looks like an antagonist is found for VT10. Naveen Chandra is likely to be the antagonist for VT10 and has reportedly spent forty five days in training to get into the character of a boxer. Moreover reports also indicate that Naveen Chandra has put on muscle bulk to match Varun Tej on the screen for VT10. While Naveen Chandra might play the role of an antagonist, it is speculated that his role may not completely be negative and instead he would be playing a role with grey shades.
Naveen Chandra shot to fame when he played the antagonist in the Jr. NTR starrer Aravinda Sametha. Naveen Chandra also appeared in Evaru in a supporting role.
