Ever since Baahubali: The Beginning released, there have been very strong rumours Anushka Shetty might be dating her Baahubali co-star Prabhas. These rumours mainly sprung up due to Anushka’s chemistry with Prabhas on and off screen. However both Anushka and Prabhas have denied the rumours repeatedly. Anushka unwittingly slipped her thoughts and revealed she would be married to a groom of her parents choice and that she may be married soon.

Anushka Shetty will be seen in the upcoming thriller film Nishabdam, which is being directed by Hemant Madhukar and produced by People Media Factory, in association with Kona Film Corporation. Anuskha Shetty will be seen as a mute artist in Nishabdham and will star alongside R. Madhavan. Nishabdham also has Shalini Pandey, Anjali, Michael Madsen, Subbaraju and Srinivas Avasarala in important roles.
Producer Kona Venkat revealed that it was a chance meeting with Anushka Sharma on a flight which convinced him to consider casting Anushka Shetty as the female lead for Nishabdham. Anushka Shetty was last seen in the super hit film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, in a cameo role.
