Keerthy Suresh, the National Award winning actress who garnered national attention for her role as the legendary Savitri in Mahanati, made a very important decision regarding her Bollywood debut.
The actress, after mutual consultations with her Maidaan film producer Boney Kapoor, opted out of the project, according to reliable sources. Keerthy Suresh was declared a part of this biopic about the late football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who coached the Indian football team in the 1950s and who is known as the founding father of Indian football.

Producer Boney Kapoor felt Keerthy was too young to play the role of the late player’s wife. Ajay Devgn plays the role of the late football coach. After mutual deliberations, Keerthy and Boney Kapoor came to the conclusion that Keerthy would leave the project in the interest of the film.
Keerthy Suresh also felt now is not the time for her to think about Bollywood and that she focus on her South Indian film career, especially Telugu, which gave her life. A confirmation about this is expected shortly.
Kudos, Keerthy Suresh, for making such a brave decision!
