Younger generation in Tollywood has always made the audience sit up and notice the content they produce with new scripts and great story telling.

Mathu Vadalara is one such attempt by Ritesh Rana and team, with Sri Simha as the leading man.  The younger son of music director M.M. Keeravani is making his debut with this movie.  Similarly Kaala Bhairava, the elder son of the composer is making his debut as a music director with Mathu Vadalara.

Babu Mohan (Sri Simha) leads a routine life as a courier boy, who is vexed up with his job.  He feels he should invent some method to make huge sums of money and plans to plunder the house of rich customer of his, where he had to deliver a product. He selects a special apartment and targets a lady.  He manages to rob her, but she dies on the spot.  Who is this lady? Why did she die on the spot?  Is Babu Mohan responsible for her death? Was he arrested?  How did he come out of this precarious situation?  This is told in the second half of the movie.

Mathu Vadalara is a great script.  Taking a simple plot of a delivery boy and his routine work, director Ritesh Rana has woven an engaging story, told through a great star cast.  The element of suspense is maintained throughout the movie, thanks to clever planning by the director.

The film also benefits from ensemble performances, including that of Sri Simha.  He ups the ante with his performance as an ambitious young boy, who is left awry by his wavery attitude.  The scenes in the apartment are hilarious and Sri Simha’s comic timing is impressive.

Comedian Satya (Yesu, friend of Babu Mohan) is another positive in this cast. Most of the film’s one liners are reserved for Satya and he excels in delivering them.

Vennela Kishore is also impressive and he makes his cameo memorable.  Naresh Agastya, also plays Abhi, the roommate of Sri Simha, also excels in his role.

Kaala Bhairava makes an impactful debut, as a music director with his background score.  The music of his complemented the thriller nature of movie and maintained the suspense.

On the whole, Mathu Vadalara is a labor of love of a young vibrant team who joined together to make this thriller a good Christmas gift!
