Rahul Ravindran, who made his debut as a lead actor with Andala Rakshasi in 2012 as a lover boy, came a long way from being an actor to a National Film Award winning director.
Rahul Ravindran’s directorial debut Chi La Sow, which had an interesting screenplay of a young man finding his true love, won the hearts of the audience and critics and was a hit. Rahul Ravindran was adjudged the Best Original Screenplay Writer at the 66th National Film Awards and received his award on December 23rd, 2019, from the Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu.
Rahul Ravindran’s wife Chinmayi Sripaada, a singer and voice actor, shared her joy on her Twitter account. She said she was proud of her husband, who not only learnt Telugu but wrote a screenplay in the language, made a film and won a National Film Award for it. Chinmayi Sripaada shares the Telugu culture from her father’s side, while Rahul Ravindran is a Tamil from Tiruchirapalli. It is an achievement, indeed.
Congratulations to Rahul Ravindran and Chinmayi Sripaada!
