Tollywood is known for big cinema families which produced many generations of stars. We have the family clans of the Nandamuris, the Akkinenis, the Konidelas and the Daggubatis who rule the roost in both film production and film acting.
We examine some of the fourth generation actors in Tollywood who are making waves as child stars.
- Sitara Ghattamaneni
The little daughter of Superstar Mahesh Babu is going places at a young age. Not only did she start a YouTube channel with her friend Aadya Paidipally, but she also dubbed in Telugu for the animated movie Frozen 2 for the character of Baby Princess Elsa. Surely, the father is impressed by his daughter.
Similarly, Mahesh Babu’s son Gautam Ghattamaneni made his film debut with the movie 1: Nenokkadine.
- Charit Manas
This star son of Sudheer Babu also turned all heads with his performance in Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, playing the childhood role of Nani. He also performed risky scenes in the Sai Teja starrer Winner. The boy impressed one and all with his act.
- Nainika
The star daughter of veteran actress Meena, Nainika starred opposite Tamil actor Vijay in Theri (Polisodu) as his daughter. Many in the industry were impressed with the act of Nainika and she is continuing her act in some Tamil movies currently.
- Akira Nandan
The star son of Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai impressed one and all with his height and looks even before he entered films. Akira acted in the bilingual Ishq Wala, which was released in Marathi and Hindi.
- Mahadhan
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja generally keeps his family out of the media glare. His son, Mahadhan who is a self confessed film buff,wanted to act at least in a cameo,in his father’s movie.Ravi Teja, surprisingly introduced Mahadhan in the movie Raja The Great, as a martial arts student. The scenes in this movie in which he acted as a visually challenged child were particularly impressive.
- Allu Ayan, Arha
These cute little kids of Stylish Star Allu Arjun were featured in the recently released video song OMG Daddy from Allu Arjun’s upcoming movie, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The kids were called adorable and many likes and shares were reserved for these kids than for Allu Arjun’s dance moves.
Cinema is a medium which gives an easy access to starkids, to be noticed and to be talked about by the public. It all boils down to how these kids use their status as little stars.
