Writer-producer Kona Venkat is a man who is adept at choosing his actors for a movie. The man has a knack of selecting people who suit the role they play. Most of the times, Kona Venkat’s choices prove to be right.
Kona Venkat, talking to the media about the ambitious movie Nishabdham, said it was destiny Anushka had to play the role of a mute painter in the movie. He shared an interesting anecdote about his chance meeting with Anushka on a flight from Mumbai to Hyderabad. He had written the story of this People Media Factory film, keeping in mind another female superstar in Tollywood, whose name he did not want to reveal. Then, on his flight back to Hyderabad, he met Anushka, who was fresh from Bhaagamathie and who listened to the script and immediately expressed her wish to be cast in Nishabdham.
Hence began the story of a film which was shot entirely in the U.S.A., with international actors and an Indian crew. Madhavan plays the lead, while actors like Anjali, Subbaraju and Michael Madsen form a strong supporting cast.
Nishabdham will release on January 31st, 2020, in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and English.
