Raaja Vaaru Rani Gaaru is one such movie.
Cast: Kiran Abbavaram, Rahasya Gorak, Raj Kumar Kasireddy
Director: Ravi Kiran Kola
Music: Jay K.
The story is set in an idyllic Godavari village where Raja (Kiran Abbavaram) is in deep love with his childhood school crush Rani (Rahasya Gorak.) Raja cannot muster courage to express his love for Rani and this continues for three years. During which time Rani pursues higher studies. All these three years Raja’s love for Rani remains intact till Rani returns to her village to live with Raja happily ever after.
How did this all happen within these three years? What made Raja keep his lamp of love burning till Rani returns to the village? This is the crux of this delicate love story.
Kudos to Ravi Kiran who takes up a very naturalistic story with no overdose of anything in this movie. The movie is lit up by the performances of both the leads Kiran and Rahasya. Both of whom are raw and fresh in their first attempt to show their acting abilities. Both the actors are terrific and deliver many shots, mostly silent scenes with their eyes. This gives a poetic tone to Raaja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, Rahasya shines as a determined woman who wins her love at the end of the movie.
Next comes the role of Raj Kumar who plays Raja’s friend, Choudary. His scenes with Kiran are engaging and impactful..
Music plays an important role in the movie as most of the scenes have minimal dialogues. Jay K’s background score is soothing and the songs add to the mood of love in the film.
On the whole, Raaja Vaaru Rani Gaaru is a decent village love story that will engage you with its gripping screenplay. The director Ravi Kiran and his team deserve our love and appreciation for their honest effort.
