India is not only the largest producer of feature films but also a fertile ground for film shoots. With its increasing soft power, India is making inroads into attracting international viewership with movies like the Bahubali series and Saaho, to mention a few.
India is all set to host its 50th International Film Festival (IFFI) at its permanent venue, Goa.
Many films from across the world are going to be screened at the event. IFFI is going to take place from November 20th to November 28th, 2019. A piece of news which makes all Indian fans happy is the legends of Bollywood and South Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, will be the chief guests at the inaugural session of IFFI 2019.
Both Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are being honored this year by the Central Government, the former with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the latter with the Icon of Golden Jubilee of IFFI, a special award.
Quite a coincidence indeed!
