Movie Details:

However, to his shock, a video of him spending cosy time with a girl, at his home is posted on social media, which makes Rakesh scared and wary of his future. The movie is an exploration of the ways Rakesh adopts to get the posted video deleted from its source.

Review:

Meeku Maathrame Cheptha is a telling statement about the way millennials use technology to their bane.  The way this issue is woven is quite a testament to the promise the director, Shammeer Sultan, gives the audience.

The star of the movie is Tharun, who easily slips into the role of a casanova who finds it difficult to get his girl into his stride, just as a fish takes to water.  Tharun’s strength has always been his dialogue delivery with a strong Telangana accent.

Abhinav Gomatam is the other star of the movie, with his comic timing and the punches he throws with his hilarious voice modulation.  Anasuya plays the role of a friend of Vani Bhojan’s character and has decent screen space.

Vani Bhojan, though a newcomer in Tollywood, is a seasoned Tamil actress on digital platforms.  She plays the role of a doctor, who is in love with Tharun but has inhibitions in taking their relationship to the next level.  Vani shines the most in the comedy sequences, looking serious but causing the audience to laugh. This may be the reason Vijay chose this Tamil girl to play the lead role in Meeku Maathrame Cheptha.

The movie is based on a plot with situational comedy, which Shammeer employs quite impressively.  The music by Sivakumar is quite decent and does justice to the genre. Though the movie has a low budget, it makes you sit up and take notice of it because of its strong cast and screenplay.

Hit the theatres as soon as possible and you will relish this laugh riot!
