Siddharth is an actor who never tires from experimenting with his film choices. His recent choices like Gruham were noted for their twists and turns with elements of suspense. This time, Siddharth is coming with a new concept of a medical thriller, Vadaladu, which discusses the corruption in the medical sector in India.
Movie Details:
Cast: Siddharth, Catherine Tresa, Aadukalam Naren, Madhusudhan Rao, Satish and Kabir Singh
Direction: Sai Sekhar
Music: Thaman
Story:
Jagan (Siddharth) is a food safety officer, who never shies away from taking corrupt officers to task. He, as a part of his work, comes to a school, where he falls for a young teacher, Jyothi (Catherine Tresa.) Though Jyothi has some initial hiccups, she ultimately agrees to marry him.
Suddenly, all the corrupt people whom Jagan exposes start dying. Jagan suddenly goes missing. What happened to Jagan? Did he kill all the corrupt businessmen? Was he himself murdered? Why do only people resorting to food contamination die? This suspense lends to the rest of Vadaladu.
Review:
Siddharth and his choice of movies has always been great. The theme of contaminated food always is a contemporary one, which needs to be addressed by the government and citizens alike.
Siddharth carries on the work of a sincere police officer well, particularly in the scenes with the confrontation between the antagonists and where Siddharth literally lives the role of an officer. Catherine Tresa too does her bit well in her short screen space. She plays a teacher with quite a good understanding of the role.
Kabir Singh plays the chief of the antagonists. He is believable as the villain who wants his enemy to be smashed, even if the enemy is a government officer.
Satish plays the main friend of Siddharth and does not disappoint. Many supporting characters, including Aadukalam Naren and Madhusudhan Rao, play their parts decently.
The movie should be seen for its addressal of the burning issue of contaminated food and how one should fight the atmosphere.
Go for Vadaladu this week. It is a good comeback vehicle for Siddharth.
