Aadi Saikumar is a decent actor, who has it all to be counted as star material. The star son of character actor Sai Kumar made his debut with the movie Prema Kavali, which was a hit.
Now, the man is making a comeback of sorts with his love story Jodi, which also stars Shraddha Srinath, a great actress who impressed with her performance in movies like Jersey in Telugu and Nerkonda Paarvai in Tamil.
Both come together for Jodi, a breezy love story.
Cast: Aadi Saikumar, Shraddha Srinath, Vennela Kishore, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Naresh and Sijju
Director: Vishwanath Arigela
Music: Phani Kalyan
Kapil (Aadi Saikumar) is a software engineer, who falls in love with Kanchanamala (Shraddha Srinath.) Both are happy till their love meets a roadblock, with Kanchanamala’s uncle Raju (Sijju) rejecting their love. The reason is he has an issue with Kapil’s father (Naresh.)
What is the problem Raju has with the Kapil’s father? How does Kapil resolve the issue with the family? How does he win the heart of his detractors? This is the story of Jodi.
Jodi was supposed to be the debut movie of Shraddha Srinath, but released after her Nani movie Jersey. The movie rests on the character of Shraddha, who naturally carries her role of Kanchanamala well, be it in the romantic or the emotional scenes. Aadi Saikumar too excels in the role of a hero, who tries hard to convince his lover and her family for a unanimous marriage, in this age of love affairs which last for a short period of time.
Naresh and Vennela Kishore play roles of importance, as the father and friend of Aadi Saikumar respectively.
Director Vishwanath Arigela does a decent job of narrating a routine love story with the required ingredients.
Jodi makes for a decent one time watch because of Shraddha Srinath’s acting and the story which is centred around her character.
Watch Jodi this week. It is not a great entertainer, but it is definitely not boring either.
