Tollywood is known for its occasional trysts with horror genre movies. The movie Shavaranjani is one among those horror thrillers which deal with evil spirits and their impact on an individual’s life.
Rashmi, popular on Television shows, is appearing in Shivaranjani in the title role. The Naga Prabhakar directorial is one of the movies she stars after her popular movie, Guntur Talkies.
Movie Details:
Cast: Rashmi Gautam, Nandu, Nandini Rai, Akhil Karthik, Dhan Raj, Delhi Rajeshwari.
Director: Naga Prabhakar
Music: Shekhar Chandra
Karthik (Nandu) is an event manager who meets Valli (Rashmi) in an accident. Both of them fall in love and he helps Valli to get back to her previous health. However, an evil spirit possesses her and Valli starts remembering her past and behaving in a strange way. What is the reason? How Valli’s life connected to the past? Did Karthik bring her back to normalcy? This forms the rest of the story.
Shivaranjani works on its performers. Nandu is a revelation, both in emotional and lighter hearted scenes. Rashmi does as per her usual self. The pre climax sequences are interesting and hold the grip on the audience. All supporting actors including Akhil Karthik and Dhan Raj play their bits to the point.
In totality, Shivaranjani is a movie, which works for die hard horror movie fans!
