Manu was a film with a unique storyline. The story of a painter who revels in a world of his own, was a new attempt in Telugu cinema. Raja Goutham Kanneganti, Chandini and Brahmanandam played important roles in the movie.
Now, Manu garnered a great platform to showcase the artistic theme of the movie, to a larger audience.
The movie received a lukewarm response, but the story and screenplay of the movie were outstanding. Phanindra Narsetti was the director of Manu, which was a great debut, storywise.
Manu was a love story with a different twist. The movie’s storyline was woven into a suspense thriller. Manu (Raja Gautham) and Neela (Chandini) are lovers, in a unique way. Neela loves poetry and sends various gifts to Manu and asks her to find out her identity. Incidentally, Manu comes as a tenant in her house. He slowly knows she is in danger, as her father possesses a precious diamond and there is a threat to the stone, from three goondas.
The way Manu protects his lover, Neela is well picturized, in the movie. The movie is a treat for real lovers of suspense thrillers.
