Rajdooth Movie Review

Bike races and bike stories in Tollywood are a rarity these days.  The last time we had a movie involving a bike was Krish Jagarlamudi’s Gamyam (2008,) which included a ‘bike’ as a living character.
Now, we have a movie named RajDooth, which is about a bike.  This time, it is a suspense thriller.  Another interesting aspect of RajDooth is, it marks the debut of late actor Srihari’s son, Meghmash.

Story:
Sanjay (Maghamsh) is a happy go lucky guy who is least bothered about his family.  His only interest in life is his girlfriend Priya (Nakshatra.) However, Priya’s father (Anish Kuruvilla) does not like the lazy, laid back attitude of Sanjay, hence he detests his daughter’s relationship with Sanjay.  However, Sanjay persists with his efforts to win the heart of Priya’s father. Seeing the efforts of Sanjay, Priya’s father puts forth a condition which Sanjay has to fulfill to marry Priya—Sanjay should bring back a Rajdoot bike, a family possession which was stolen years ago.  Sanjay can marry Priya only after the bike is returned to Priya’s family. What trials and tribulations Sanjay endures to bring back the bike forms the crux of the story.
Review:
RajDooth is a breezy entertainer, which focuses on boyhood escapes.  Meghamsh suits the role of a laid back boy in his teenage, ready to do anything for his ladylove, quite well.  Nakshatra, a Telugu girl, performs well in her role as Priya, with the innocence which the role requires.
RajDooth is mainly driven by the visual images of Meghamsh going from place to place to trace the bike.  The supporting cast, including veterans like Kota Srinivasa Rao, Anish Kuruvilla and Manobala, are apt for their roles.  The movie is an ensemble one in reality, which focuses on the youth and their lifestyle.
RajDooth is a one time watch, for its bike driven story.  It is also a treat for late Srihari’s fans, who come to theatres to watch Meghamsh.
