Sandeep Reddy Silences His Critics

Kabir Singh created a buzz which no Bollywood movie created in recent times.  The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is a blockbuster and has already garnered huge box office revenue in Bollywood, exceeding Rs. 200 crore collections.

Now, Sandeep Reddy Vanga became the centre of attraction for many film critics in Bollywood.  In a recent interview with noted Bollywood critic Anupama Chopra, Sandeep retorted quite candidly at the critics of Bollywood, who found Kabir Singh/Arjun Reddy a depiction of misogyny and a glorification of toxic masculinity.

Sandeep opined, such people who consider “themselves being unsafe in theatre watching the movie’ and who were ‘cringing at Kabir kissing Preeti in their first meeting,’ did not have any experience of true love (sic.)”

Sandeep also took objection to critics terming his movie as one “where the hero gets everything he wants, despite his sleeping around with men.”  He added, “Nobody could gauge the intention behind the scenes. Arjun/Kabir tries to vent out his frustration on other women, but is so immersed in his love to Preeti, he cannot sleep with any other woman even if he makes any advances with them (sic.)”

The retorts of Sandeep Reddy are now creating an unforeseen buzz in Bollywood.
