Actor Nani’s sports drama Jersey was dubbed as ‘the most authentic sports drama in Telugu’ by critics. The Gowtam Tinnanuri directorial was a huge hit at the box office and garnered a career best opening for Nani.
The Bollywood remake rights of Jersey were recently sold. Bollywood biggie Karan Johar, who recently presented the Baahubali series in the North, bought the rights of Jersey to remake it in Hindi.
News has it, Karan just zeroed in on the documents for the Jersey remake and wants Gowtam Tinnanuri to direct the Hindi version as well.
Well, it seems Bollywood realised the talent burst in the South and wants to utilise it in Hindi. As Hindi movies already have cinematographers, makeup artists and scriptwriters from the South, now it is time for the directors to rule the roost in Bollywood.
Seems like the Sandeep Reddy Vanga effect, right?
