Crazy Mohan, the immortal humour king who caught the imagination of lakhs of cinegoers through his comic scripts like Apoorva Sahodarargal (1989,) Michael Madana Kama Raju (1990,) Sathi Leelavathi (1995,) Bhamane Satyabhamane (1996,) Panchatanthiram (2002.) Mohan came closer to the younger generation with his dialogues for S.S.Rajamouli’s epic Naan Ee (2012.) Crazy Mohan wrote the Tamil script and dialogues for it.) Mohan passed away in Chennai, on June 10th owing to a sudden heart attack. He was 67.
Crazy Mohan, originally Rangachari Mohan, basically started as a comic playwright and actor, with stage performances reaching to one lakh all over the world. He collaborated with the legendary director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and Kamal Haasan in their ventures ranging from Apoorva Sahodarargal (1989, the Tamil original,) to Vasool Raja MBBS (2004,) a remake of Rajkumar Hirani’s cult Hindi movie Munnabhai M.B.B.S.
Mohan was also a great poet in Tamil and wrote one poem daily and got them published. The man with crazy dialogues will be missed forever.
