Young Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan, who costarred with South superstar Anushka Shetty in the successful Bhaagamathie (2018) and opposite Junior NTR in Janatha Garage (2016,) recently got trolled by his fans and commoners from Kerala.
As per the general belief in Kerala, anyone, be it a celebrity or a common citizen, who celebrates Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (the Hindu organisation associated with Bharatiya Janata Party, the BJP) follower and a Hindutva supporter.
Unni Mukundan took to his Facebook page to post a congratulatory message to Modi for being elected as the PM for the second consecutive term. This did not go well with his followers on social media. The trollers classified him as a Modi Bhakt (devotee) and a Sanghi (supporter of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.)
Unni retorted saying that as a law abiding citizen, he has a right to congratulate the real head of the state and his post is meant to only those, who take politics seriously.
Oh My! seems like Unni Mukundan has taken the loose talk on social media indeed seriously!
