Looks like the young guns of Telugu Cinema are opting for sports genre dramas a lot this season. We already had the moving sports drama Jersey by Gowtam Tinnanuri, which was received warmly by the cine folks.Now, we hear, the talented Varun Tej, the Konidela Scion, signed a boxing drama, helmed by Kiran Korrapati.
The debut director is elated by the dedication of Varun Tej, as he flew to the USA to take special training in boxing techniques, under the supervision of former international boxer, David Jeffries.The untitled movie is going to be shot at various locations, including Hyderabad, Vizag and Delhi. The regular shooting starts from August. Varun Tej is busy with his soon to be released Valmiki, a remake of Jigarthanda (2014)directed by Harish Shanker.
