Mahesh Babu—the very name sends his fans into a tizzy and he does not want to disappoint them. Even in the innumerable interviews Mahesh gave for promoting Maharshi, the only thing he mentioned was his responsibility to satisfy his fans.
So, what are the five top reasons to watch Maharshi? We gather them for you.
Mahesh Babu :
The prime reason which brings the audience to theatres is Mahesh Babu’s very name. To rephrase his dialogue in Businessman, “Mahesh is not a name, it’s a brand.” Mahesh’s films of late have themes like development ethic, mostly of the downtrodden and the rural community. Mahesh’s character in Maharshi, Rishi Kumar, as the trailer shows, is an ambitious man and an activist who takes up the responsibility of eradicating farmers’ woes in carrying out agricultural methods innovatively. This is enough to watch Maharshi.
Allari Naresh :
Telugu Cinema’s ‘only’ comedian hero, Allari Naresh, is shown as a rural student who joins Mahesh’s college and becomes his close friend. For the Telugu audience, watching Naresh in a serious drama would be a first. They would love to see him in a new avatar, in a pivotal role, as already revealed at the Maharshi pre release event.
Pooja Hegde :
Every movie needs an oomph factor to boost the glamour quotient. Pooja Hegde is definitely the It Girl of the Telugu film industry, where she is ruling the roost with many big projects. It would be interesting to see her chemistry with the Tollywood Prince in Maharshi. Her role promises to be different from those she played alongside stars like Allu Arjun and Junior NTR. This makes it an interesting factor to watch the movie.
Vamshi Paidipally :
Mahesh Babu mentioned at the pre release event, how Vamshi waited for Mahesh for three long years to write the script of Maharshi. Obviously, Vamshi would include all the Mahesh ingredients while serving this delicious treat to the fans. This ought to increase the eagerness of the audience to watch Maharshi.
Prakash Raj :
Finally, can one imagine a Mahesh Babu movie without Prakash Raj? The great actor has been a part of almost every Mahesh Babu movie from the times of Okkadu (2004.) Prakash Raj plays the role of Mahesh’s father in Maharshi, a role he will play for the third time. The first two movies in which Prakash Raj played Mahesh’s father were Dookudu (2011) and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013.) This itself makes it interesting for fans to rejoice.
These are enough reasons for you to throng the theatres on May 9th to watch Maharshi, aren’t they?
