First Rank Raju is a movie about a guy who invests all his time in books and bookish knowledge rather than getting to know the practical world. Team First Rank Raju released a song, Raju Raju, today.

Meet Raju, a guy brought up with the belief that books provide all the knowledge in the world. His childhood is spent with the very same belief, making him one of the most brilliant students when it comes to attaining knowledge from books. His world revolves around his father, who taught him, books are the only bankable solution to any problem. However, when it comes to common sense, Raju is an absolute failure.

Raju Raju is a hilarious song with an account of how Raju is obsessed with books. While his teachers are full of praise for Raju, common people who approach Raju are baffled with his antics. Then comes a reality check for Raju and how he handles failure and what he does to bring some normalcy in his life is the essence of First Rank Raju.

This movie is a remake of a Kannada flick, 1st Rank Raju, which was directed by H. N. Naresh Kumar. Now, the same director is working on the Telugu remake.

V.K. Manjunath is producing it, under the banner of Dolphin Entertainment. Kiran Ravindranath is composing the music for First Rank Raju, while Giri Mahesh is the editor.
