A. R. Rahman, the world renowned musician who came from a very humble background is now making the headlines again. He is now venturing out of his comfort zone and is stepping into new aspects of film making. The musician is now interested in production.
Rahman’s first venture as a producer is titled, 99 Songs which will be released on the 21st of June, 2019. This upcoming movie will be out in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. 99 Songs features Ehan Bhat, Edilsy Varghese, Tenzil Dalha, Lisa Ray and Manisha Koirala in the lead roles. Apart from the actors mentioned above, a noted music composer Ranjit Barot and Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram bagged key roles in this upcoming project.

The musician turned producer took to Twitter to announce this news. The musician stated, “99 Songs is a young, passionate and soulful love story with music as its soul”. A.R. Rahman, who also penned the script of 99 Songs is pretty excited about it and can’t wait for it to hit theatres.
Rahman’s production venture, YM Movies and Jio Studios are jointly producing this upcoming project.
