Mani Ratnam, the director known for some of his best works in the South Indian cinema, is now working on another mega project. He is now working on Ponniyin Selvan, which is based on the Chola dynasty. Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi and Jayam Ravi in the lead roles, this Mani Ratnam directorial is going to feature some of the biggest stars from across the industry.
According to the latest sources, Mani Ratnam is now all set to work with his former Assistant Director and present actor, Karthi. Mani Ratnam previously worked with Karthi on Cheliyaa, a love story between a war pilot and a doctor.
Ponniyin Selvan is based on a novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy. This project is piquing the curiosity of the audience immensely as the details about it are under wraps. Ponniyin Selvan will release in various Indian languages and will hit the floors in 2020.
