Anjali C.B.I., is the story of lady cop and her hunt for a blood thirsty sadist, who derives pleasure in kidnapping innocent people, demands a ransom and then kills them. Her quest to find him and her efforts to capture the killer bring out some secrets buried deep within her heart.

Story:

The story of Anjali C.B.I., kicks off with Anjali ( Nayanthara) dropping her daughter off to school and her then arriving at the police headquarters. A fresh case comes to her where the activity of a previously captured criminal, Rudra (Anurag Kashyap,) is replicated in this case. The police department assures the family of the victim they will bring the victim back alive. However, Rudra kills the victim and leaves a suitcase filled with her body parts for her family. Before the police department realizes what is happening, they discover, the same sadist, who goes by the name Rudra is back in the city and is out for blood. When Rudra calls the police department from an untraceable number and asks for Anjali, the official who captured Rudra in the first place,. Anjali discovers she is in deep trouble. Rudra challenges her to capture him if she thinks of herself as an able police officer. In the meanwhile, Anjali’s brother, Dr.Arjun (Atharvaa,) has a tiff with the love of his life, Krithikka ( Rashi Khanna). He tries to talk to her but makes things worse and she leaves town to attend a wedding. Arjun follows her to the city where the wedding is being held only to be framed by Rudra. Arjun is trapped, Anjali is on house arrest for a wrong decision she takes during the operation and her family is held under close observation. Will Anjali be able to capture Rudra under such circumstances? What is the deep connection Rudra and Anjali share? What happens when the truth comes to light is the essence of Anjali C.B.I.

Performances:

• Nayathara putsup a tremendous performance as a cop in Anjali C.B.I. Right from her body language to her expressions, she looks like a cop in a true sense.
• Atharvaa has done a great job in playing the role of Anjali’s brother. He did agreat job in the last 30 minutes of the movie.
• Anurag Kashyap deserves a round of applause for the fantastic job he has done in this movie. He played the role of Inspector Martin Roy to perfection.

Positives:

• Gripping storyline with great twists are the highlights of this movie.
• The cast and crew have been chosen very wisely which elevated the complete essence of the movie.
• The background score and the music are a must mention in Anjali C.B.I.

Negatives:

• There were hardly any negatives in this movie as every angle and every aspect of the movie were taken into consideration.

Analysis:

A must watch for all fans of thrillers, mysteries and cop dramas. The interesting twists and the gripping storyline will keep your eyes glued to the screen all the time!
