Mahesh Babu is now one of the busiest actors in the Telugu film industry. The actor is managing multiple projects at the same time. On one hand, he is currently working on his movie Maharshi, which is gaining a lot of attention on social media and among his fans. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is venturing into new arenas of the filmmaking business and is moving ahead of others in leaps and bounds.
In that context, the actor is now associated with Asian Cinemas and recently established a theatre called AMB Cinemas. Apart from this, he is also entering the digital media world by producing a web series, titled Charlie. However, an official announcement on this front is yet to be made.
The web series is likely to have Hussain Sha Kiran as the director, who worked on the hilarious entertainer Meeku Meere Maaku Meme. Sources state, this web series is going to be a mystery thriller. News is, a total of three seasons containing eight episodes each are planned. The story revolves around a fictional character, Charlie, who is a detective. He, along with his team, solves crimes.
While there is no official confirmation regarding Charlie, it is likely to be on par with international detective shows such as Sherlock Holmes, Castle and The Mentalist among many others.
Charlie, in all probability, is going to be out in Hindi to have a pan India appeal. Discussions are still going on, but this project is likely going to be a joint production between Jio and Mahesh Babu Entertainments.
