Varun Tej, the actor who is currently basking in the success of his most recent project, F2: Fun and Frustration, is now gearing up for his next project. Varun’s next project, Valmiki, was officially announced, yesterday, in Hyderabad. This upcoming project of Varun is going to be directed by Harish Shankar, while Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara are producing it, under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment.
News is, Valmiki is going to be a remake of a Tamil blockbuster movie, Jigarthanda. The poster and the title of Valmiki indicate, that this is likely going to be the remake of this Tamil sensational movie. Jigarthanda revolves around a filmmaker who wishes to make a movie based on gangsters and conducts research about them. He starts snooping around to research and is caught doing it. The whole story revolves around whether the director manages to make it alive and whether he will make the movie or not. Karthik Subbaraj was the director of Jigarthanda.
The female cast of Valmiki is not yet official. Varun Tej has a knack for choosing unique and different scripts and Valmiki surely looks promising.
