Wife of Ram Movie Review

Lakshmi Manchu has always been very fond of women-oriented films. It’s been quite a while Lakshmi Manchu since the actress was seen after the release of 2017 film Lakshmi Bomb. The actress who loves to be versatile on screen is back with her latest movie, Wife of Ram – an intriguing thriller that deals with a murder mystery. The movie is out in cinemas today and here is our take on the film.

Deeksha(Lakshmi Manchu) loses her husband Ram (Samrat Reddy) and daughter in a mysterious murder. Since Deeksha approaches police to find out the culprits. Since she gets no support from the cops, Deeksha decides to investigate the case by herself. In the process, Deeksha finds Rocky (Adarsh Balakrishna). How she finds the clues and succeed in unfolding the mystery forms the rest of the story, that must be watched in theaters.

Lakshmi Manchu has done a great job, carrying the whole film on her shoulders. Her performance will be remembered for a while.

Priyadarshi is impressive as a cop

Adarsh Balakrishna nails it as a baddie

Samrat Reddy is okay in his limited role.

Technical Department:

Talking about the technical side, any thriller needs an engaging cinematography which was very well done by Syamala Bhaskar. The story, screenplay and direction by Vijay Elakanti is laudable. Dialogues are crisp and good. Since there are no songs, Raghu Dixit scores big with his engaging background music. Production values are good.

Second Half

Few parts in the First Half

Few unconvincing scenes

Lakshmi Manchu has done a fair job in shouldering the women-centric mystery thriller. The story, screenplay, cinematography, and direction get credits. Performances are good enough. Though the movie takes off well, few scenes aren’t convincing in the first half. Even the interval block is just okayish. The movie picks up in the second half and continues to engage the audience till the climax. Director has passed a good message with the climax, making the film a decent one to watch.

Wife of Ram does well at many parts of the film, while falls short at a few parts. The movie offers a lot to thriller movie lovers, as the twist and suspense are something unpredictable. On a whole, Lakshmi Manchu has delivered a power-packed performance to make Wife of Ram a worth watch.
