Jr NTR Impressed everyone as a child artist with 1991 film Sr NTR’s Brahmashri Vishwamitra and 1996 film Gunasekhar’s Ramayanam. After a few years, at his 17 Jr NTR made his debut in a lead role with Ninnu Chudalani in 2001. In the same year, the actor registered his first hit with SS Rajamouli’s debut film Student No.1. Turning round the clock, the duo came up with another film – Simhadri in 2003. No one thought that the 19-year boy would shake the industry and crush all the records at that age, like a juggernaut. The movie swept all the records in Tollywood at that time, keeping NTR in a position no one had reached again. The movie released on 9th July 2003, finished 15 years by this date.

The movie ran for 100 days in 150 centers. The biggest achievement for Jr NTR starrer was beating Megastar Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster hit, the 2002 movie Indra. Simhadri collected 25+ crores share beating Indra’s 24+ crores. Jr NTR was honored as the best actor by Santosham Film Awards and FNCC Telugu Cinema Awards.
