Tik Tik Tik is one of the much talked about film in recent times, in the Tamil and Telugu Film Industries. Projected as the first Indian film based on space, the much awaited Jayam Ravi’s latest film #TikTikTik is out in cinemas today. Here is our take on Tik Tik Tik movie.
The Defense Space Division (DSD) team lead by Army chief Mahendran (Jayaprakash) learns about an enormous asteroid that would kill 4 Million people, is set to bombard India in 7 seven days. Due to lack of time, the DSD team plans to steal the asteroid stored in China space station. To finish this secret mission, an escape artist and magician, Vasu (Jayam Ravi) and his friends Appu (Arjunan), Venkat (Ramesh Tilak) get appointed in by DSD Chief and his core team Swathi (Nivetha Pethuraj) and Raghuram (Vincent Asokan). The twist in the tale blows when Vasu’s son Ravi (Aarav) gets abducted, to threaten Vasu for the missile. What did the secret team do next? Will they sacrifice the kid’s life for 4 million? Tik Tik Tik answers all these intriguing questions.
– Jayam Ravi delivers his best portraying an escape artist, a magician and an emotional father. The actor must be praised for all the efforts he had put in for the movie.
– Nivetha Pethuraj as Captain Swathi is impressive with her action sequences, though the movie was shouldered by Jayam Ravi.
– Senior actor Jayaprakash as Army chief Mahendran is impressive.
– Aarav, the son of Jayam Ravi has made a stunning debut.
– First of it’s kind
– Jayam Ravi performance
– Stunning visual effects
– Excellent background score by D Imman
– Cinematography by S Venkatesh
– Logic kept aside in few parts of the movie
– Few comedy scenes
Cinematography stands out, along with the art direction. Editing by Pradeep E Ragav is good enough but could have chopped off a few comedy scenes.
Being the first of it’s kind, Tik Tik Tik is very new to the Telugu and Tamil audience. With brilliant visual effects of Hollywood range, the space scenes have come out very well. The concept of a thief stealing a missile from the very strong Chinese army might not appeal to those who seek logic in this sci-fiction film. Stunning performance by Jayam Ravi makes the Tik Tik Tik worth watching.
Considering the limited budget and time, Tik Tik Tik team must be highly lauded. Stunning visuals by cinematographer S Venkatesh gives the space touch perfectly. D Imman music keeps the audience glued to the sets. Performances, production values make this first Indian space-based film a must watch. On a whole, the first space-based Indian film has been launched successfully by pulling down another missile.
